About PEBL

Psychologically Empowered Business Leaders (PEBL) is the inaugural club at the University of Michigan – Stephen M. Ross School of Business dedicated to exploring the intersection of psychology and business. We are committed to cultivating a vibrant community where individuals with an interest in both fields can empower themselves as leaders. Our mission is to provide a collaborative platform for students to develop essential skills for both personal and professional growth. We believe that understanding ourselves and others is key to becoming more productive, fulfilled, and impactful in the world. PEBL facilitates this growth through tailored education sessions, a fluid action-based curriculum, and a focus on meaningful communication. We help members learn how to “negotiate” the reality they want to create in their lives by building strong relationships and leveraging behavioral insight. Through a social impact lens, we actively engage with companies and organizations to help build a better future. Our members apply business psychology principles in consulting-style projects—ranging from internal strategy teams that drive PEBL’s growth to external client work based on research, interviews, and real-world application—to generate meaningful outcomes and empower themselves as thoughtful contributors and future leaders.
